Deborah Thibodeaux joined The Davis Clinic in 2012 as our Clinic Manager. She has a diverse background within many disciplines, which enables her to understand personal and business needs from a range of perspectives. Deborah brings with her a strong background in management, accounting, bookkeeping and human resources.
Prior to joining The Davis Clinic, she managed an alternative medicine practice which her duties included medical office management, human resources, accounting, assisting in patient care and recruiting multicultural talent. Deborah worked many years for Administaff, a nationally known organization that provides an array of human resources and business solutions. She worked in the healthcare, finance and sales area with them.
With her natural compassion towards people, and her strong background in management and accounting, she is a perfect fit for our clinic. Deborah is a positive professional within all areas of the clinic environment and ensures that office operations run smoothly and professionally to support the staff, the clinic and the patients.
Leslie joined The Davis Clinic in September 2010. Born and raised in New Orleans, Leslie brings a bit of wonderful, Southern creole flair to our practice. She moved to Houston in 2001 when her spouse was transferred here, but frequently returns to her native roots to enjoy time with family and friends. Prior to joining The Davis Clinic, she worked as a receptionist for an orthodontist in Louisiana, and for an otolaryngologist in west Houston. Leslie has a strong background in insurance services, with a specialty in workers compensation. In her role at The Davis Clinic, Leslie focuses on billing and collections and works with both insurance companies and patients to bring about resolution when there are issues regarding payments being appropriately processed.
Medical Assistant to Dr. Garth Davis
Zintia Dominguez joined The Davis Clinic in January 2008. She works with Dr. Garth Davis as his medical assistant on clinic days and schedules patient labs and other tests, reviews pre-operative instructions, and is the liaison to Dr. Garth Davis on behalf of his patients. Prior to joining The Davis Clinic, Zintia worked with an OB/GYN practice for over two years. She is a joy to have on staff and she says that she enjoys being a part of each patient’s journey to a new life!
Medical Assistant to Dr. Robert Davis
Nancy joined our team in April 2011 and works directly with Dr. Robert Davis as his medical assistant. In her role, she triages patients on clinic days, schedules tests, reviews results with Dr. Davis, communicates pre-op instructions for all of Dr. Davis's surgical patients, and acts as the liaison to Dr. Davis on behalf of his patients. Prior to joining The Davis Clinic, Nancy worked as the front and back office coordinator and surgery scheduler for a high volume, multi-location urology/fertility clinic for three years. She assisted in minor surgical and diagnostic procedures and also managed insurance verification processes. Nancy is a compassionate patient advocate and medical assistant, and brings excellence to each patient experience.
Medical Assistant to Dr. John Primomo
Naomi joined The Davis Clinic in October 2010. She graduated in 2001 from the University of St. Thomas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Psychology with a Minor in Spanish. She completed her senior internship at Memorial Hermann Hospital and TIRR Rehab facility at the Medical Center. Prior to The Davis Clinic, she worked for a high volume orthopedic group consisting of five surgeons.
In her current role at The Davis Clinic, Naomi works as a Medical Assistant for Dr. Primomo. Her duties include: patient triage, scheduling of tests, reviewing results with Dr. Primomo, communicating the pre-op instruction with all surgical patients, monitors patient clinical criteria as well as educating the patient process of our program for before and after surgery. Naomi is an asset to the practice and she enjoys being part of the life changing experience with each of the patients.

Surgery Scheduling Coordinator
Alma Palacios joined The Davis Clinic in March 2006. She initially was our front desk coordinator; she moved from that position to our insurance benefits verification coordinator, and now serves full-time as our surgery scheduling coordinator. Prior to joining The Davis Clinic, Alma spent over four years in the healthcare industry, and she also enjoyed time as a stay-at-home mom. We’re thankful that she decided to rejoin the workforce, as Alma is a vitally important team member at The Davis Clinic. Her attention to detail shows in all that she does. As a patient of our practice, you will work closely with Alma in scheduling your surgery, making sure everything is ready to go on the day of your surgery. Alma states that she loves her job and making a difference in the lives of our patients.
Insurance Authorization/Verification Specialist
Sheree is currently attending HCC in pursuit of her BS in Healthcare. Through this career path Sheree worked in many areas of health care such as Rehabilitation with Traumatic Brain Injuries, (TBI), OB-GYN & Infertility, and Substance Abuse & Mental Health. Just becoming a new residence to Houston, TX for the past 2 years Sheree serves full-time as the Insurance Verification Specialist at The Davis Clinic. She has a better understanding of how Bariatric Surgical & Medical Weight Loss treatment can be life changing and looks forward to educating others.
Angela King joined The UT Physicians Davis Clinic in August 2015 as our Bariatric Coordinator. She brings 20 years of experience in healthcare. Angela has a vast amount of experience with patient financial counseling, medical billing and coding. She is proficient with maintaining accurate patient accounts and medical information to stay compliant with HIPPA.
As our Bariatric Coordinator, Angela audits, analyzes and confirms all patient data submitted for authorization approval to health insurance companies. She ensures all criteria for bariatric surgery requirements for in-network insurance companies are accurate and up to date. Angela is a self-starter and believes in our core values of respect, compassion, integrity and excellence in all aspects of role. Her individualized commitment to our patients is one of her greatest attributes makes her an asset to our practice.
Sr. Patient Access Representative
Don joined our team in April 2015 as a Sr. Patient Access Representative. He graduated from HCC with an AS in Health Science. Don works diligently to ensure our patients have a smooth and seamless experience while visiting the clinic. Don worked for ten years in one of Houston’s busiest inner city Emergency Rooms, as a Patient Account Specialist. He was a department lead in mentoring and instructing new employees. He has vast amount of customer service and account experience for companies such as Dow, UPS and Compaq. Don loves working for the Davis clinic and feels he can make a positive difference in the lives of our patients.
Don is married to a wonderful woman and has three sons and a grandson. He spent several years living in Vancouver, BC and enjoys outdoor sports such as hiking and zip lining the jungles of central Mexico. We are thrilled to have him as a member of our team.
