Out-of-Town Patients
Many individuals come to us from all over the United States, Canada, Mexico, and beyond. Often, we're asked if we travel to other cities and do surgery there. The answer is "No, we do not." The reason we do not is because it is important that our team of experts be involved in your care every step of the way, and we only do surgery at our designated bariatric center of excellence hospitals where we are credentialed to perform surgery. Your safety and ultimate success depend on our consistent bariatric team being in place to educate you pre and post-operatively, and to perform safe surgery. Therefore, out-of-town patients need to understand that there is a commitment to joining our program, including coming for a consultation with one of our surgeons, along with seeing our nutritionist and psychologist (most times, this can all be accomplished in one trip). In addition, you must commit to taking our recommended vitamins and minerals daily, and keeping ALL follow-up appointments. This is the only way we can make sure you are doing well, staying healthy, and addressing any issues or concerns you may have.
To make your journey to see us in Houston as simple as possible, we've put an out-of-town program together. Here's all you need to do to get started:

- We will email you instructions on how to get started in our program, including how to complete our webinar online and providing us with your insurance information and medical and health history via our secure, HIPAA-compliant patient portal.

In addition, the food court contains many dining options, and restaurants such as California Pizza Kitchen, Panera Bread, and The Cheesecake Factory are all accessible via a skywalk from The Westin to Memorial City Mall, making not only your stay -- but that of your family members -- a pleasant experience as well. Trattoria Il Mulino provides breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, and in-room dining is also an option.
